Awards are given based on growth within the past three years, revenue size and other criteria. According to the awards committee, the 16 nominees contributed $95 million in revenue – generated in the past year alone – and created 600 new jobs.

In 2016, amongst many growth accomplishments, American Vein & Vascular Institute opened its second clinic in Pueblo, Colorado. This location is the first of its kind in Southern Colorado, offering an office-based endovascular center with diagnosis and treatment of patients with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) and Venous Thromboembolism (VTE).
Founded January 1, 2010, American Vein & Vascular Institute has expanded to eight clinics plus a practice management headquarters in Colorado Springs. Seven clinics are located in Colorado and the remaining clinic is located in Texas.
